Kenneth Tuite
Kenneth Tuite, (kmtuite@mail.umd.edu) graduated with his BA in History from the University of California at Berkeley in 1992 and earned an MA in Ancient History from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1996. He received his doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin in 2006. He was a Regular Member of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens as a Fulbright Fellow (1996-1997). Dr. Tuite attended the Summer Program of the American Numismatic Society (1999) and recently completed his dissertation entitled: Herodotean Tools: The Thematic Use of Objects in Herodotos' Histories.
His interests include Greek historiography, particularly Herodotos, the Ancient Economy, and Numismatics, on which he has presented several papers. He co-authored a note with Ed Harris on a horos stone (ZPE 131: 2000) and has written several entries for ABC-Clio.
Currently Dr. Tuite is developing his dissertation for publication and working on a new approach to the Peace of Kallias.
